It operates around instrumental development and experimentation. It has been operational since 1\/1\/2020 and includes 11 staff members working in 6 professional skills, all of them belonging to the BAP C. LAC Tech&#8217; is directed, coordinated and animated by Jean-Paul Cromi\u00e8re. We design and produce unit parts or complete mechanical assemblies required for physics and optics experiments in the laboratory. We are at the origin of many prototypes meeting the requirements of experimental work. Our workshop is equipped with conventional machine tools and two numerically controlled milling machines that allow us to cover a wide range of machining capacities. A large part of the activities concerns the development of electronic systems associated with projects for which no commercial solution exists. It can also be involved in an important way in scientific projects carried out by researchers. The developments carried out by the department concern both the realization of simple functions (specific amplifiers, modulators, synthesis and measurement of signals, distance sensor by measurement of time of flight, etc.) and large-scale projects close to the physics experiment (measurement of wavelength and laser servoing, electronics for optical control of the movement of a particle, etc). <br>The skills and know-how of the department are digital electronics (Xilinx FPGA programmable components and Microchip microcontrollers), general analog electronics, radio frequencies, low level measurement, signal synthesis, signal processing, medium voltage switching. Programming in advanced languages such as LabVIEW or C, digital synthesis language VHDL.
